What is Staging? Staging is the art of showcasing your home through strategic placement of furniture and accessories with broad appeal. It portrays an ideal lifestyle that is move in ready.
Why do I need to stage my house before I put it on the market? Staging helps your home stand out and presents it as move in ready playing up the positive and playing down the less than perfect.
Are there any statistics to prove staging works? National statistics show that a staged home sells in half the time of a non-staged home. And staged homes sell for 5% more than a non-staged home. 76% of realtors recommended that your home be staged before it goes on the market. There is little downside, but huge potential upside. Before you lower the price consider staging.
How much will it cost to stage my home? A home with existing furniture and the family is still living there costs $300-$500. This will vary depending on the amount of furniture and accessory items that may be needed or pre-packed. A high end staging can cost as much as $10,000-$20,000 if furniture needs to be rented and depending on how much "pre-stage" is required, the homeowner can save a lot if they are willing to do some of the painting, cleaning, packing and repairs.

What are Vignettes? Without furnishings, many houses lack interest and buyers have difficulty imagining how the space would look furnished. Furniture provides a gauge. A few essential pieces as simple as one or two chairs, a small table lamp and a touch of silk greenery, creats a mini scene. Creating a vignette near a view or in front of a fireplace that creates a warm feeling, could be the deciding factor in the sale.
What can I expect with my staging experience? Your stager will meet with you for a consultation and offer suggestions to prepare for the stage. On the staging day, we ask that you leave your home for a few hours so that when you return you can see your home as a buyer would.
