What is a House Staging?

Staging is the art of making the home appealing to the broadest range of buyers so it will sell quickly and for the highest possible price.

Why can't I stage it myself?

The homeowner has emotional ties to their home and are not able to see a room decorated any other way.  A professional stager can see a room with a fresh eye transforming it to appeal to a wider audience.

Why do I need a consultation?

A stager will come to your home and depending on the size, will spend approximately 1 hour walking room by room with a checklist.  This checklist will allow you to make notes and provide you with a "to do" list before you list your home.  You may only need some pointers and can do them yourself, or you can allow us to return to stage your home.

What can I expect from my stage?

We ask that you follow some guidelines to enable us to maximize our staging time, including gathering all accessesories and art you would like us to use and display them in a designated spot.  We also ask you to leave the home during the stage so that you can re-enter and see your home as a buyer would see it.

How long does a stage take?

Depending on the size of your home it can take anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours.

What does a stage cost?

Initial Consultation fee is $150.  $50 is applied to the cost of the stage if scheduled within 10 days.

Staging can run anywhere from $300 to $600 plus the cost of additional accessories and as much as $10,000-$20,000 for large unfirnished homes.  Fees are discussed up front and can vary depending on the scope of the project.
